What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?
Jesus Christ is the literal Son of God. His birth, life, death, and resurrection fulfilled the many prophecies contained in the scriptures concerning the coming of a Savior. He was the Creator, He is our Savior, and He will be our Judge (see Isaiah 9:6, 53:3-7; Psalms 22:16-18).
Under the direction of our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ created the earth (John 1:10; Hebrews 1:2).
When Jesus lived on the earth (approximately 2,000 years ago), He led a perfect life. He taught by word and example how people should live in love of God and others.
Through His suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane and by giving His life on the cross—that is, by performing the Atonement —Jesus Christ saves us from our sins (1 Peter 2:21) as we follow Him. Because of the Atonement, you can be forgiven of your sins when you sincerely repent (Book of Mormon, Mosiah 26:30).
Through His Resurrection, Jesus Christ saved us from death. Because He overcame death, we will all be given the gift of resurrection, that is to say our spirits will be eternally re-united with our bodies (Acts 24:15; 1 Corinthians 15:22). When life on this earth is over, Jesus Christ will be the final Judge (Acts 17:31; John 5:21-22; Acts 10:42).
We believe that Jesus is The Chirst the Son of God, and that all may come unto Him and find peace in this life and eternal life in the life to come. Believeing in Jesus Christ alone isn't enough, we have to live what He taught. He taugh, "If ye love me, keep my commandments." -John 14:15. He was sent to do His Father's will, and to be lifted up upon the cross -3 Nephi 27, The Book of Mormon. He is my personal Savior, He knows me perfectly, He loves me perfectly, and He gave His life for me so I will live again, and so I may be saved from my sins. I love Him and want to keep His commandments so I can live forever in His presence with my family.

I want to answer this by explaining how I came to believe in Christ. If it were not for the Holy Ghost it would be hard to see the Savior as anything other than an imaginary friend, or even see the scriptures as more than mythological tales. Since scripture promised revelation, I asked of God if these things were true. It helped to have some idea of how I would get an answer. The scriptures were spot on in the description of such communication, and I felt a powerful sensation in my heart. I think the vast majority of Latter-Day Saints have received their testimony of Christ this way. The Holy Ghost’s witness gives us the drive to believe those Prophets who have seen the Christ. Even Peter needed the Holy Ghost’s witness of Jesus. That is why I believe Jesus is the Son of God. That’s all I have to go on. So, every day I read in the scriptures, ponder some ideas presented, and look for that sensation in my heart. And every day in some way, I see more value in virtue and love. I see what Christ was teaching us to be, and I choose that life style. In John 14 Jesus was teaching all of us that this is how we would know Him as well as God. This approach makes us think, seek understanding, and grow in faith till we can know all things.

We absolutely believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. We believe that He was the God of the Old Testament. Under the direction of the Father, He created the earth. He spoke to the Old Testament prophets such as Noah, Abraham and Moses. He was born to the virgin Mary in Bethlehem. He walked among the people of Palestine, working many mighty miracles. He suffered and died for our sins. He rose from the grave and ascended to Heaven to stand on the right hand of the Father. We believe that He appeared alongside the Father to the prophet Joseph Smith. Today, He is at the head of our church and leads it through the prophet and twelve apostles. He will come again to reign upon the earth with all those who have faith in Him. Through Him, and Him alone, we can be forgiven for our sins and receive eternal live in the Kingdom of God.

I go to college in what many people consider the "bible belt" of America. Many people assume I'm not a christian or that I don't believe in Jesus Christ as the literal Son of God. Most people don't realize just how christian our faith is and they're usually surprised at how similar many of our beliefs are. The truth is Jesus Christ is the Son of God and there is no other name by which people can be saved. Jesus Christ is my savior and the Savior of the world. His goodness is available to all and brings happiness to anyone who reaches out to Him.

The official name of our church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and that says a lot - it's very important to me that I belong to a church that bears the Savior's name because He is central to everything. He is the Son of God and it is only through Him that we can overcome our sins and our faults and return to live with God. But more than just our sins, His life, example, and sacrifice give us comfort and hope through all the trials of life.

Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is the only begotten of the father in the flesh. He came down to earth to put his church on the earth. He is our savior and redeemer. Without him, we can't return to live with our Heavenly Father. He is the center of God's plan for us. The church is his church, and that's why it's called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Mormons absolutely believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God. We believe that he is the Savior of the world, that he atoned not only for our sins, but for all of the pain and the suffering that we feel while we are living. We believe that we can turn to Him and that He will ease our burdens and grant us forgiveness for our sins, if we are willing to give them up. We know that He loves us, and that He wants us to keep His commandments so that we can one day return to live with our Father in Heaven.

Yes. As the scriptures state, Jesus is the literal "Son of God". He created the earth; he came to earth to teach, set an example, take upon himself the sins of the world, and to break the bonds of death; he rules the heavens and will be our final judge. Through his Atonement, everyone will be resurrected and can (through faith and obedience) return to live with him in heaven. He is perfect and filled with love. He knows each of us individually and intimately. Because of his sojourn on earth, he empathizes with our sorrows, our difficulties, and our pains. He "delights" in helping us. He is omniscient and, therefore, knows better than we do what is best of us. He has promised that everything that happens to us if we follow him will ultimately be for our good. Therefore, through faith, we can be assured that no matter what our circumstance is, we can be happy knowing he has our back-ultimately, we will look back and see how our trial was really a blessing!
