A typical day for me starts at about 5 a.m. If I don't exercise then, it just doesn't happen. I'm busy, just like everyone else, with a husband, three daughters and a new son-in-law. I also fill my time as a dentist and running my practice. After family obligations, work, and church responsibilities I try to do something to keep the house in order. Then, it's on to the fun stuff - I love to snow ski, take walks and enjoy the outdoors. When occasion permits, I absolutely love to take trips with my family. Yes, I have the travel bug! Did I mention that I also love to laugh?
Deep in my heart I believe this is the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is truly the core of who I am. As I strive to live the principles of the church, it provides a solid foundation in an everchanging world. I love that I have been able to teach my children the importance of these good and solid values, and watch them apply them in their own lives.
The gift of the Holy Ghost has been a great comfort in my life. I feel His influence constantly and am grateful for His guidance. Simple-day-to day occurances such as deciding to call a friend, participate in a specific activity, making financial decisions, or helping my children navigate through trials, all have been influenced by the promptings of the Holy Ghost. I've learned that if I will pause and listen to the feelings and promptings I receive, and act on them, I will be in harmony with my Heavenly Father.
Actions speak louder than words. I try to follow Jesus Christ's example of being honest, kind, and merciful towards other people. I know that through following His example of serving others we can find true joy in this life.
