Church service
Leaders of congregations are called bishops; they are employed in their communities with regular jobs. Bishops around the world are asked to lead their congregations in their spare time.
Most members of a congregation share the bishop’s weight of responsibility by serving as teachers, counselors, leaders of organizations, and clerks. All do so without pay—other than the personal reward they feel as a result of their service. Church members are encouraged to serve beyond their Church affiliation in their communities and for charitable causes.
