Your part in God’s plan
You have a divine mission, a part to fulfill in Heavenly Father’s plan.
You are here to receive a body and to gain experience. Heavenly Father wants you to learn those things that will help you become more like Him. He wants you to learn to control your body, to choose right over wrong, and to walk by faith in Jesus Christ.
He knew that you could not learn these things or progress if you stayed with Him. So, much as a parent sends a child to school, Heavenly Father sent you to Earth.
He expects you to learn many lessons here in mortality, such as:
- To be humble, obedient, and kind.
- To love and serve Him and His children.
- To devote your life to doing good and helping His other children to follow the example and teachings of Jesus Christ.
As you do so, you will prepare yourself to return to Him. This is His plan for you.
