Husbands and wives should love and care for each other
For most newlyweds, it is easy to love and to care for each other. But as time passes, sometimes spouses forget to show love for their companions
and begin to think more about themselves. Sometimes the stresses of work or child care push the care of the companion way down on the “to do” list. The gospel teaches that husbands and wives should love and care for each other “even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it” (Ephesians 5:25). Successful marriages require constant nurturing to stay strong and healthy. They require Christlike love and self-sacrifice.
