The teachings that can change the world haven’t changed

You can receive suggestions on teaching your family from many sources. But ultimately the responsibility to teach your family rests upon you as parents. Remember that the scriptures offer some of the best guidance when you need answers to family questions.

Here are just a few areas in which we can receive help from the scriptures:

  • Teaching respect for parents
  • Disciplining children
  • Dealing with conflict in the home
  • Recognizing the importance of marriage
  • Teaching family values
The teachings in the scriptures are full of family-oriented principles that can be applied in any home. We especially see the principles of love, kindness, and charity taught from the mouths of the prophets, apostles, and Jesus Himself. As these teachings are applied in the family, the home becomes a refuge of peace, stability, and happiness.
