Both the laws of God and the laws of nations help provide order and protection for individuals and families. Civil laws against killing, stealing, and deceit parallel some of the Ten Commandments that God gave to Moses (Exodus 20:1–17).
Respect for God’s commandments and for civil laws helps children to become good citizens.
