Most parents work very hard to make sure that their children have the food, shelter, and clothing they need. While this is a matter of love and tradition, it is also what God wants us to do.

The ancient Book of Mormon prophet Benjamin taught, “And ye will not suffer your children that they go hungry, or naked” (Mosiah 4:14).

But sometimes, like our children, we may confuse what our children want with what our children need.Beyond the necessities of life, the greatest need any child has is for a stable, loving family and for the knowledge of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for us.
