Comforter
Comforter

The Comforter is another name for the Holy Ghost because He brings peace and comfort.

We all experience times of loneliness, fear, and sorrow—times when we need comforting. Jesus Christ promised, “I will not leave you comfortless” (John 14:18). He said that God would send the Comforter, “which is the Holy Ghost” (John 14:26).

The Holy Ghost can comfort and help you through your troubles and sorrows. The Holy Ghost also provides peace of conscience and assurance that our sins have been forgiven when we truly repent.

When you have the Holy Ghost with you, there is no need to be afraid. Jesus said:

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. [John 14:27]
