Christ’s birth
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was born approximately 2,000 years ago. Prophets of the Bible (Isaiah 9:6) and the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ (Alma 7:10) foretold the Savior’s birth long before it happened. The birth of Jesus Christ, which we celebrate at Christmas, is one of the most significant events in the history of the earth. From the Bible we learn that Jesus was born in a stable to a virgin mother, Mary, that angels announced His birth to shepherds, and that wise men from the East later visited Him. The heavens rejoiced at the coming of the Son of God to the earth. His birth was and is good news for all people, in every age and in every land!
