About Me

My husband and children are everything to me! My family is the most important part of my life. I am very close to my parents and three younger sisters. When we're not spending time together, I enjoy my other passions- dance, travel, theatre and lots of sports!

I am a certified dance instructor! Dance is such an amazing form of self expression. I love to teach every week and really look forward to each class. I love people and being able to interact through aerobic dance class, it is such a joy for me.

I enjoy travel! I work in the airline industry and love to visit many different places. My husband served a mission in Auckland, NZ- so, this is the next destination on my list.

I love everything about theatre and performing! "Life is a stage..." I am grateful for a wonderful community that puts on amazing shows. I cannot wait to start performing again, it is such a passion of mine.

SPORTS! Baseball, volleyball, running... any kind of sport, I'm game! Of course I enjoy some more than others, but I'm never one to turn down an opportunity to participate in sports. We have a wonderful program for the women in our area, through the church, and are able to play basketball, softball, volleyball and more! I can be a spectator or participant, I really enjoy the game!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised with a knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so blessed to have been given this opportunity. I knew I would not be able to accept baptism or be an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ, if I didn't know for myself if being a part of this religion was right for me. I prayed, and prayed, and prayed to know the truth. I studied scripture, from The Book of Mormon and the Bible. I received answers to my prayers and was given confirmation that being a part of this church was the right thing for me!

Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?

I have four amazing children, who are a huge blessing in my life. It is so important to me to be in tune to their needs. Prayer allows me that time each day to communicate with our father in heaven. I start and end each day with prayer, but I'm so grateful I can receive answers to the prayers I utter in between the chaotic mothering moments!

How I live my faith

I am a people-person! I love to talk ;-) I live my faith by sharing my experiences with individuals I meet. In the church, I organize activities that help bring members and non members of our church together. We just got done doing a luau with amazing food, games and a polynesian dance group. The activity was a huge hit. It allowed individuals who are not Mormon to come socialize and ask questions, not only about our religion, but questions to get to know others and build friendships!

The president of the church today is the prophet of the world. His name is Thomas S. Monson. I know he is lead by God and leads God's church.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

The Restoration is needed because of the Apostasy. The apostasy is a time foretold of by the prophet in the Bible Amos. In Amos 8:11-12

" Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord:
And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it."

Amos tells us that there will be a time when the gospel, or "the word of the Lord" will be lost. That time came when Jesus Christ and the Apostles were killed. Even though we still had the bible, there were no prophets or apostles to keep the gospel pure and true. Man was left with their own interpretation of the Bible. As we all know, there are thousands of christian churches all based on the bible, BUT all teach different doctrines. When Christ was on the earth He did not set up thousands of different churches so that there was something different for everyone. He had one church. His church. The prophet Peter tells us that there will be a restitution or a restoration of the gospel, in Acts 3:21

" Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began."

In short, the gospel was lost during the Apostasy and the Restoration brought it back. So, now we have the same gospel that Christ set up when he was on the earth. :)
