I have 3 kids, been married for 14 yrs this Aug. I just graduated with my MSW.. Masters of Social Work. I am attmpted to get a job at a local maximum prison as a Mental Health Professional.

Why do Mormons go on missions?

I did not go on I mission becuase I was to old when I joined the church.... But instead I live my life everyday as if I am on a mission to share the gospel of Jesus Christ...

Why/How do you share the gospel with your friends?

I live by example and share with them my beliefs upfront so there will never be any questions of why I do things the way I do..

How I live my faith

I have been very active in my community I have been on Domestic Violence and Sex Offender committees. I assisted in the local Take Back the Night. Help every year at Christmas time for Operation Holiday.

The fundamental principle of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the faith in, reliance upon, and relationship with Jesus Christ. We regard Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world. Everyone on the earth today has made mistakes. All of us have come short of the perfect example that Christ set for us. The problem is the laws of God state that “no unclean person…hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.” (Ephesians 5:5) Because of these laws, we needed a way to be cleansed from these sins and mistakes. God knew that we would fall short of perfection and by His grace he provided us a Savior, Jesus Christ. Being a perfect soul without blemish, Jesus was capable and willing to take upon Himself our sins. Because He paid the penalty for our sins, the atonement, we must take upon ourselves His name to reap the blessings of forgiveness. We do this by having faith in Christ, admitting and repenting of our sins, and being baptized in the true and restored church of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

Are we not all brothers and sisters, with God as our Father? The Lord looks upon the heart, not upon the outward appearance (1 Samuel 16:7). The criteria to become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ is based on a willingness to do what he has asked us to do, not based on some outward feature. Show more Show less
