Hi, I'm Jennifer Beth
I'm a Mormon, and would like to help you understand Mormons better.
About Me
I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, UT in an active LDS family. I have one borther. I spent four years on Active Duty as a United States Marine. I attended college and now work full time. I hope to be married in the Temple and raise a family in the Church. I've held various Church callings during my life.
Why I am a Mormon
I'm Mormon because I know this is the only church with the full truth. I believe all churches that inspire people to do good have some truth, but only the LDS Church has the full truth. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, and that President Monson is a prophet. I know that following the teachings of this Church is how I can one day return to my Heavenly Father and Jesus, and be with my family for eternity - which I want very much.
Personal Stories
Why do Mormons go on missions?
We go on missions because the Church has brought great happiness into our lives, and we want to share that happiness with others.
Could you talk about your baptism?
My father baptized me a couple weeks after I turned 8. I was very excited and eager for baptism, and had been looking forward to turning 8 so I could be baptized. When I got to my mother afterwards I said I wanted to do it again. It was a warm, wonderful feeling of complete forgiveness and a chance to start new.
How I live my faith
I live my faith...
In the way I treat others - I try and treat them as fellow children of Heavenly Father.
In the language I use - I try to avoid profanity.
In the clothing I wear - I try to dress modestly.
In the activities I do, or don't, participate in - I atttend Church and the Temple. I read scriptures, and pray. I don't drink alcohol, tea, or coffee. I don't smoke.
