About Me

I have been happily married for almost 20 years and have 3 teenagers. Can life be good with 3 teenagers? YES! The gospel of Jesus Christ has shown us all even the kids! the way to live happily, by following the example of the Savior, Jesus Christ. I am a dyslexia specialist. I love to read, dance and quilt. I also quite enjoy....chocolate!

Why I am a Mormon

I was a Mormon when I was a child because I was born into the faith. I am a Mormon now because I know this is Christ's true church on the earth today! And I don't say, "I know" lightly. I know it more than I know the sun will rise tomorrow. The Holy Spirit has born the witness to me that God is pleased with my choice to be a member of His church. He needs me He needs you too! to build up His kingdom on the earth, to share His gospel with others, and to serve His children everywhere. It is my pleasure to do this. I became a Mormon by chance. I am a Mormon by choice.

Please share your feelings/testimony of the Restoration of the Gospel.

The Lord has not left us alone. A loving Heavenly Father has seen fit to restore the gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth once more. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is that gospel - restored by God through his called prophet, Joseph Smith. We have had prophets ever since. The prophet has a very close relationship to Jesus Christ. He tells us what Christ would have us know and do. He will never lead us astray because God would not let him. If we follow God's prophet, we are following God. This IS His church. When you pray and ask if that is true - you will know it as clear as I do.

Why/How do you share the gospel with your friends?

I want desperately to share the gospel with others because of the happiness I experience as I live it. It would be selfish of me to know what I know that God lives, loves us, and wants us to return to Him. And HOW to do that and not share that with those around me! Have you ever seen a wonderful movie and wanted everyone else to see it too? That is how it is. I have Book of Mormons in the car and pass along cards in my purse, so I can capitalize on every opportunity I can to share His gospel. I will do so until my dying day.

How I live my faith

Living my faith begins each morning with scripture study and prayer. How comforting it is to know that before we send any member of our family out into the world each day, we have a family prayer for protection, guidance and for the Spirit of the Lord to be with each of us. And how grateful I am that I can pray any time of day, not just morning and night, and THANK my Heavenly Father for the protection He sends, the guidance HE gives and the Spirit that comforts, teaches and inspires us to do what's right.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Can you imagine living happily ever after in heaven - without your husband or wife? Or your children?Have you noticed that most marriage ceremonies say, "...till death do us part?" What happens after that? Are you not married anymore? Well, God has provided a way for familes to be sealed together forevor. In His holy temples, by the power of His priesthood on the earth, these sealings are possible. What sweet knowledge it is to know that if we live true to our covenants, our family is sealed not till death do us part, but, "...for time and all eternity."

YES!!! This is one of my favorite parts of the gospel. I believe that my family will live together in heaven. I will know my family as my family members. My husband is my husband for now and for all eternity. My children are my children here on earth and for all eternity. I know that if something happened to one of us that I will see them again. I love this about the church. Before joining, I always had a question about this concept and when taking the discussions from the missionaries this came up. Makes me love the church more and more.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Joseph Smith was a great man and we revere him as such because of the great and important things he accomplished. We do not worship Joseph Smith or serve him. We study about his life, because of the great significance of Joseph Smith's first vision and the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ and the priesthood authority. It is a series of remarkable historical events.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Rochester, New York on a business trip and I found time to visit the nearby town of Palmyra and the Sacred Grove. I was able to see and study and review the circumstances surrounding the events and experiences of Joseph Smith. This was no chance happening or coincidence.

We worship Our Heavenly Father and His Son, the resurrected Lord, Jesus Christ.
