Dawna Marie: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Dawna Marie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in the Western United States. I come from a family with four other sisters. My fathers ancestors were part of the pioneers who came from England and settled the West and were mostly LDS. My mothers ancestors were originally from Greece and were of the Orthodox faith.

I enjoy doing genealogy research, animals, photography especially of nature and animals.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in the principles that are the basic tenants of the church and mostly because of the way my life has been blessed by its influence personally. I grew up in a home with two different religions being practiced.

Many times I have seen my personal prayers answered directly through the Book of Mormon and the Doctrine and Covenants and the Bible.

Personal Stories

Can you talk about the missions of the Church and your participation in them?

Missions are a great blessing to members of the church as well as to those they serve. When you are called to serve as a missionary, it is all voluntary. It gives you the chance to be of service to others. It also gives you the chance to tell others about the gospel if they chose to want to learn about it.

I served as a missionary to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for eighteen months. I met wonderful people, learned more about myself and gained a better understanding of the scriptures.

How I live my faith

In my ward I presently serve as the Family History Consultant which enables me to help others to trace their heritage.
