Aaron : Mormon.

Hi, I'm Aaron

I am a guardian of freedom and the American way of life and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of two young boys and married to an incredible woman. I have a BS in Psychology and I am fond of trivia in all forms. Some of my hobbies include running and playing guitar. Recently I received my commission as an officer in the US Army.

Why I am a Mormon

Since reading the Book of Mormon as a teen I have come to know a peace in my life that I hadn't before. Living the standards taught by the LDS Church strengthens my resolve to be better and gives me a clearer perspective when facing challenges and trials that life seems to constantly offer me. My testimony is that we have a loving Heavenly Father and a loving Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that the Father and the Son appeared to Joseph Smith to restore The Church of Jesus Christ. My testimony is the result of sincere prayer and diligent study of the Book of Mormon and I testify that it is true.

Personal Stories

Can you talk about the missions of the Church and your participation in them?

I served as a missionary in the Philippines from June 2005-07. I gained a love for the people and their culture. The experiences I had were both challenging and interesting. I talked to people everyday who had seen struggles I will never face and it inspired me. Through hard work and faith, we, my companions and I, saw miracles. The miracles we encountered were mostly the drastic changes people made in their lives to live in harmony with true principles we had taught. My mission was unlike anything and it made me a better person.

How I live my faith

In my home, we make reading and praying together a priority. Having been here and there for Army training and schools I attend available meetings whenever possible. I help out as needed, usually by offering a prayer or setting up chairs and classrooms for teaching. Mostly, I strive to live a good life and inspire those around me. Occasionally, fellow soldiers have accompanied me to Church services.
