Hi, I'm Laura
I love mountain biking and triathlons. I'm a marathoner and a mom of four wonderful children. And I'm a Mormon.
About Me
In 2008 I weighed 320 pounds. I felt worthless although Jesus Christ had always been a part of my life. After struggling to lose weight, I finally discovered how to appreciate myself. Now I am happy in a way I never dreamed possible.
Why I am a Mormon
At first, I was a Mormon because my parents were Mormons, but it has become more than that. My faith has been tested many, many times. I am a Mormon today because I know this gospel is from God.
Personal Stories
How does making right choices help us make more right choices?
I learned that when I have faith in Christ, I am better able to recognize His faith in me. I have struggled to feel my worth as a person, but through prayer I began to feel God's love for me. As I put forth the effort to follow His commandments, particularly the Word of Wisdom, I have experienced an amazing transformation, inside and out.
How I live my faith
I work with boys in the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouting programs. I am also in charge of planning monthly activities for all the moms, grandmothers, and women in our neighborhood.
