What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

A Divine mandate to encourage spiritual, emotional, and physical health. We are asked to avoid the consumption of coffee, tea, alcohol, tobacco, any other addictive substances. In addition, we are encouraged to enjoy fruits, vegetables, wholesome herbs, and grains.

Being a physician, I've seen the lives of many individuals blessed not only physically but also mentally, emotionally, and financially as they have embraced these simple truths.

The word of wisdom is the Lord's law of health. We abstain from drugs, tobacco, alcohol, coffee, and tea, and are encouraged to eat wholesome food and grains, and not eat excessive meat. I am asked all of the time by my fellow residents at the hospital why I don't drink coffee, and how I can stay awake all night on call without it. I don't consider it a sacrifice, though, and am as awake and perform as well as any. It is true that the body will be more healthy when following the word of wisdom, the but the main benefit is spiritual. The knowledge that you are in line with the the Lord's teaching is the most important thing.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Simply by trying to. If you have a desire to increase your faith in Jesus Christ, try to do it. Start by praying. Read his words in the Bible. Try to put them into practice. For example, he told us to "love one another." Try and follow that teaching. Be nice to others, help people who might have less than you, smile... As you do so, you will notice a change come over you. You might feel more peace in your life, a calm enter your mind, or a warm feeling that seems to say you're doing the right thing. These things help you realize your faith is growing. Faith is an action word. If you put action behind your belief, I have found that it will grow.
