I'm a full time freelance internet marketer and a mother of four, stepmother of 3. I'm going to school online to get a second bachelor's degree. I love camping and playing the piano and singing. Mostly, I love spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in The Church, so it's always been a part of my life. I really love the way the gospel is the same no matter where you live. People are different and cultures are different, but the pure gospel of Jesus Christ is the same. I love the feeling I get from attending church and living the commandments. I know that I am a child of God and that I have a lot to offer by serving others.

Personal Stories

What has helped develop greater harmony in your home?

Every night, we sit together as a family and read scriptures. Then, we kneel as a family and hold hands as we say a prayer. This usually ends in a bunch of hugs and everyone saying "I love you, good night". It's a happy feeling and something I really enjoy. We even have scriptures and prayers when visitors come to our home. It's something we just do.

How I live my faith

I play the piano for our church group on Sundays. I also visit other people in our church each month. Serving my family is my biggest job and takes most of my time. I also serve in the family cannery, providing food for those who need help. I love serving and try to take advantage of every opportunity I have to build up the Kingdom.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes, I believe this with all my heart. Our prophet speaks with God and receives revelation for the world, not just The Church. The prophet has been called and ordained of God and has the power and authority to act in the name of God here on the earth.

Yes! (You might want to sit down for this great news!) I love reading the stories of prophets in the Old Testament. The prophets spoke to the people of that time about the things they most needed to hear. I'm so grateful that just like in biblical times, we have a prophet for us now!

Our prophet truly is a man called by God to help us. I know this is true every time I read his insights and guidance for us in these times. With a living prophet to guide us, we know what to focus on in our personal and family life.

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

We read in Genesis that one of God's first commandments to Adam and Eve was to "multiply and replenish the Earth." We believe that marriage between a man and a woman is ordained of God, and the only appropriate means of multiplying and replenishing the Earth. Keeping this in mind, any sexual act that takes place that is not between a man and a woman, joined together in marriage, is forbidden.
