Hi, I'm Jeff
I'm a husband and father of five, and live near Salt Lake City. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I enjoy spending time with my wife and our five children: playing games, reading stories, working in our house and yard, swimming, taking family trips...just being together. There is a lot of laughter in our home. Family and faith are the main focus of my life. My job is in public relations. My hobbies include creating, playing and recording music, playing basketball and reading books.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a Mormon because I know our Heavenly Father loves each of His children and answers sincere prayers. He has answered my prayers and has confirmed to me, time and time again, that this is the true church established by Jesus Christ and restored once again in our day. God hasn't left us alone to figure out life's purpose and the direction we should go. He has provided prophets and scriptures as a guide, and His spirit, the Holy Ghost, to testify of truth. As I read the pages of the Book of Mormon and the Bible, I see the same central message and feel of its truth: that Jesus willingly paid the price for my sins and suffered for the sins of all mankind, so we can repent, be forgiven and return to live with Him and with our Father in Heaven again after this life. More than anything, I want to be together with my family forever. I feel so strongly that it is only through Jesus Christ that this is possible. I truly believe this is His church, with a living prophet and the necessary priesthood power to open the door to salvation and eternal happiness. These blessings are available to everyone, by accepting Christ as their Savior, receiving baptism in His church, and following His commandments. Having the gospel of Jesus Christ as a light in my life helps me every day to find the strength I need to do what I know is right, serve others and move forward in faith. I invite anyone reading my testimony to "Come unto Christ" and experience this same joy I feel as a member of His church.
Personal Stories
What has helped develop greater harmony in your home?
Doing everything we can as parents to help our children know we love them, and to remind them of our Heavenly Father and Savior's love for them, makes a big difference in the peace and harmony we feel in our home. Having regular family prayer, reading scriptures together, enjoying fun family activities and having pictures of Jesus and other gospel-themed artwork in our home helps us to stay focused on what is important.
How I live my faith
I live my faith by fulfilling my current church responsibilities as a secretary to the bishop of our ward and a home teacher to two families in my neighborhood. I try to make a difference for good in the world by volunteering with an organization that helps abandoned children in another country. I strive to always remember the perfect example, my Savior, Jesus Christ, and to follow in his footsteps in loving and serving others.
