Hi, I'm Daniel
I'm a Mormon.
About Me
My name is Daniel. I am 21 years old and am from Northern Caliornia, Sacramento area. I love music: playing piano and guitar, writing my own even. In high school I played football and loved lifting and the feeling that came while out there on the field. I am currently attending a university in Idaho and I have hopes of becoming a teacher, and professor, one day.
Why I am a Mormon
All my life I have been taught to believe in Jesus Christ and to follow His teachings. When I was a young teenager though I started to drift. I started to lose hope in a bright future but for whatever reason I never gave up on prayer and God never gave up on me. I remember praying at night, and God spoketo my mind teaching me what I was to do. Though I didn't want to, He continued to tellme until I listened, until I decided to change.
Through church leaders and parents and mostly through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ I was healed from sin, from my problems and I started the change.
Since that time I have read the Book of Mormon, which is another Testament of Jesus Christ, and is Holy scripture. I read the book, and I prayed to ask God if the book were true. In other words, if the book were truly inspired and sent forth by Him. Once again through thoughts to my mind and many times through feelings in my soul, my prayer has been answered, and I now know without a doubt that The Book of Mormon is inspired of God, that He has called men in these days just as He did before to teach and guide us. In other words God has sent prophets again to the earth and is preparing us through these added messures of blessings for the Second Coming of His Son.
I know it's true, because my Father in Heaven has so born witness to me.
Personal Stories
Please share your feelings/testimony of Joseph Smith.
I would like to share with the world at this time that I know without a doubt in my heart that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. He was a young man, full of faith and desire to follow God, who humbly asked God in prayer what church to join. In response to his prayer God, the Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ came to him in a vision and told Him to join none of them. Why? Because the church of Jesus Christ had been lost to the earth and as promised in the Bible was to be restored in the last days. So, they, meaning God and Jesus Christ, called Him, a lowly boy, to be the one to establish Christ's church once more to the earth.
Why him, some might ask. What made him so special? The answer is as simple as the young boys prayer: Because He was the one God chose.
I know that to be true, because through prayer, Heavenly Father has revealed that to me.
How I live my faith
I live my faith simply. I have been asked at seperate times to preside over groups of youth in my age group to help lead them and learn from them the way we should go.
Every month we go 2 by 2 to visit the members of our church and ask them how they are doing, share a message with them, pray with them, and see if there is anyway in which we can help. We do this to stengthen eachother.
I, personaly, had the great priviledge to go to Puerto Rico for about two years to serve the people of that island. There I went house to house sharing my beliefs with others and inviting them to come unto Christ. It was amazing to see people, even religious people, change their lives for the better and find even greater happiness.
