Hi, I'm Rach
I love languages. I love fruit. I love photography. I love nature. I love my Savior Jesus Christ.
About Me
I'm from New Zealand. Grew up in various countires and places around the world, and have many more wonderful world adventures lined up.
I LOVE photography! Especially beautiful nature scenery and close ups of people and things like that tiny rain drop on a leaf, or the bee buzzing on a flower petal...
I love my family. It's great doing family history too!
I LOVE sports, especially basketball and dancing. The outdoors are awesome too... I grew up going hiking a lot with my Dad who would often take us up the hills or down to the river. Hawaiian hikes are pretty neat too... good times
I know that as we put our trust and hand in the hand of the Lord, that He will make us equal to every challenge that comes to us throughout life, that we can turn them around and use them for greater things in the kingdom of God.
Why I am a Mormon
Because I want to be!
Also...
Because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only church on the entire face of this planet that has the complete Gospel truths AND the authority from God to utilize those truths to bless people's lives now and forever.
You can know too if you will humbly and openly ask God yourself
Personal Stories
How can your talents and gifts bless others?
Sharing is caring right?! :) It's one of those things that the more you give, the more you recieve... The Lord talks about it in the Bible a lot too, like with the parable of the talents...
In what ways have your prayers been answered?
In so many ways. i am truely grateful for the power of sincere, humble prayer. God hears our hearts, and He sees our needs, and He SOOO longs to help and guide and bless us, if we will only turn to Him in prayer. I've recieved answers to prayer through other people, through the marvels and beauties of nature and creation, through the gentle whisperings and still, small voice of the Holy Spirit, and I've witnessed many beautiful miracles in my life. I have had some prayers answered immediately, while other prayers I have prayed sincerely but I'm still waiting for the answer. No matter what, I know that a loving Father in Heaven has heard, and will continue to listen as I turn to Him, and in the timing of the Lord, ALL my sincere prayers will be answered (same for you too)
Can you think of a specific challenge in your family that Gospel Principles helped overcome?
The principles of love, of true, pure Christ-like love have helped me to love my family no matter what, through the good times and also through the really hard times. I know that charity is the pure love of Christ, and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him. (see Moroni 7:47)
Why do Mormons do family history or genealogy work?
Because families are important. It's noce to know where we came from, and who were the people who brought us into this world their lives, their loves, their sacrifices... it brings a greater sense of identity and purpose. Also, we know that families can be sealed together forever so it's nice to know who your family members are:
Please share your feelings/testimony of the Restoration of the Gospel.
I am grateful for it.
I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true Church of Jesus Christ on the earth, restored in it's fulness/completeness, (including true Priesthood power) and I am SOO grateful for that.
Can you talk about the missions of the Church and your participation in them?
The Church has a GREAT missionary program. Very organized and definitely lead by the Lord. The Holy Spirit is always very strong with the missionaries. Why? Because the Holy Spirit testifies of truth and of Christ as the Savior of the world, which is also what the missionaries are doing:)
I served a mission among many Spanish, Latinos, and LOVED being a full-time rep. for the Lord. I know what we have to share is pure truth and blesses people's lives forever.
Why/How do you share the gospel with your friends?
Because I like to. Because I love to actually. The Gospel of Christ brings me great joy, and I desire to share that will ALL. It has blessed me a lot, and I know it can do the same for them if they will listen and follow too:)
What is hope and what do you hope for?
As so eloquently put by Dieter F. Uchtdorf:
"Hope in Jesus Christ has the power to give us peace amid adversity, as well as happiness now and in eternity."
yup yup

Please share your feelings/testimony of Joseph Smith.
He was called as a prophet of God. He was chosen by God to help restore the original true Church of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ onto this Earth (after centuries of it being lost)
Think about your everyday activities. What are things you act upon each day where you cannot see the end results? How does faith move you to action?
Some things include
sincere daily prayer= I do not physically get to see God everyday but I sure know He is there and listening
scripture reading/study= I do not claim to know everything there is to know about the Lord and His Gospel teachings, but I have faith that through humble, constant scripture study, I can continually learn grow, and refine.
obedience to God's commandments= Sometimes the blessings that come from obeying God's laws do not come right away, or are not as apparent as we would like, but with faith, each day I am able to walk tall knowing that obedience to God brings happiness and blessings both in this life and in the life to come
My faith moves me to action by giving me purpose and motivation and direction in the things that I do. I feel there is a higher purpose to life than just living each day as it comes aimlessly wandering around. By having faith in a loving Heavenly Father and a loving Savior who through His sacrifices and example allows me to repent, improve, progress I am motivated everyday to keep my actions consistent and in harmony with the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Which of the Savior’s teachings have influenced you?
All of them. ALL of His teachings influence me for good (granted, some are easier too accept than others, but I know that ALL He desires is the best for us)
Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?
I don't think I could fully function without the connection to God and His guidance through prayer.
How has your knowledge of the Plan of Happiness changed/benefited your life?
In many ways. I have greater faith in God, and my desires to follow Him and be good are strong. I know that I can be with my family FOREVER, no matter what happens in this life, and I'm grateful for that. I know that I am a special, loved daughter of God, and that Jesus Christ is truely my Savior (He is yours too:)
How I live my faith
Faith is like a little seed, if planted, it will grow!
How do I live my faith? As best I can, every day I try to be like Jesus Christ.
What would He do and say? How would He have me behave? I want to be like Him because He is very kind to me and everyone I know, and I want to be that type of person too.
I'm grateful for Christ's good example I want to be a good example too
"One of the greatest blessings of life and eternity is to be counted as one of the devoted disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ." -James E. Faust
