About Me

I live in Utah with my wife and 4 of 6 children remaining at home. One is teaching the Gospel in North Carolina and one is married and living in Virginia. Last year we celebrated our first grand child!

After many years as a software engineer, I retired to spend more time in other pursuits such as learning about and promoting the principles of good government. I still love programming, but now it's a hobby. I currently provide for my family by investing in real estate developments.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm extremely grateful for my understanding of the purpose of earth life. It makes it much easier to get through the inevitable tough times.

How can we develop greater harmony in our homes?

Music has been a wonderful influence for peace and harmony in my home. Thanks to my musically inclined wife, all the children have been blessed with skills in and a love of music. As I write this I'm listening to a daughter play and sing beautiful songs. It brings a great spirit into our home.

How I live my faith

In my neighborhood I serve as an Employment Specialist, helping people with career development and finding suitable employment. I love helping people find the resources they need to provide for themselves and their families.

Which of the Savior’s teachings have influenced you in your life?

One of the many teachings of the Savior that has influenced my life is that to be shown mercy we must show mercy to others. This is far more than some rule the Savior imposes, but a basic principle of living. As we are patient with the weaknesses of others, everyone is naturally more patient with us, making our homes and communities a more enjoyable place to live.

Proverbs 3:5-6 reads "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." During these tough economic times, I've really come to rely on this scripture and just how often it's necessary for me to acknowledge Him in this journey of life. Where I'm at now and where my family is at now is not a mistake or a chance occurrence, but a part of the Lords' unique and divine mission for me. Who I am is not a mistake or chance occurrence but a unique combination of what makes me able to most effectively carry out His plan for me. My mission here on earth is special and unique and precious. I sincerely believe that the Lord has a mission for each of us, and that only through being in tuned to the Holy Ghost can we carry out His mission for us to its fullest potential.

Are Mormons Christians?

YES. Yes yes yes. What is a Christian? A Christian is a person that believes in Jesus Christ, and believes that Christ did in fact die for us so that we can repent and return to live with him again. He is our Savior and Redeemer. We pray and we worship in the name of Jesus Christ. He is the center of our faith. Jesus Christ is my Savior. He died for me. He loves me. He is my hero, and he is my best friend.
