Hi, I'm Aaron

I am from the South. I am a developmental biologist. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I study developmental genetics and will be beginning a PhD at Duke August 2012. I will be studying regenerative processes in the zebrafish model. I am from South Florida and I love to swim at the pool or at the beach. My favorite sport to play is soccer and my favorite sport to watch is college football. I support UGA and BYU in football. Of course, now I will be a blue-devil too, Go Duke!

Why I am a Mormon

I love God and Jesus Christ and I know through the Holy Ghost that They have restored the gospel through Joseph Smith.

Please explain the part prayer plays in your life?

Prayer has been a huge part of my life and has helped me to make good choices and find truth. Prayer is like a two-way connection we can make with God at any time and its an amazing blessing.

How I live my faith

I try to help other people whenever I get the chance and I read the scriptures and pray every day. At church I teach a class and I often will help pass or bless the sacrament.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

What is the Relief Society?

To me, Relief Society means friendship. It's an opportunity to know and love and learn from other women from so many different backgrounds and situations and ways of looking at life and yet they are truly my sisters! I can't tell you how many times I have been wrestling with an issue in my own life and there, during the course of our class or other conversation, comes the answer. I know that Heavenly Father so often works through others to answer our prayers, and to me Relief Society is a huge example of that. I'm grateful not only for those who reach out to me, but for the opportunies to reach out to others through Relief Society. It is an inspired program and a wonderful asset to my life!
