Krystal: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Krystal

I'm serving a mission in the Arizona Tucson Mission and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm Krystal, and I am so happy to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was born into the church, and my parents were also. My Grandma on my mom's side was converted and baptized at age 16.
I am attending college; I am studying Elementary Education, and hope to obtain a teaching degree for Seminary. I am a Service Leader along with being a Mentor for the college. I love Utah, I have moved 18 times, and always longed to be back in Utah near family.
I love to scrapbook, and do crafts. I love hiking, nature, and just being alive!!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Gospel, but as I've gone through life my parents allowed me to choose to accept it or not. I decided to accept it a long time ago. I have many precious experiences for me to know that this is the religion that I want to belong to. I continue because it gives me hope and strength to live this life I have been given at a very high cost.

I know that this church is true, and I know that Jesus Christ is the savior of the world. He is our older brother who truly loves us. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon, and that he honestly saw the Father and the Son who spoke to him to bring forth this gospel in this dispensation for the blessing of those who are willing to accept it. I know that we have a modern day prophet, seer, and revelator, Thomas S. Monson. I know he leads and guides us today with inspiration from our Father in Heaven. I know that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are all separate beings but are one together. I know that if anyone wants to know if this gospel is true, all you have to do is read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if it is true and if you sincerely pray to know; you will be answered. I know these things to be true. This is my testimony and it is my life. This religion is so much more than a Sunday thing, it's a lifestyle that I choose to live daily.

Personal Stories

Please share your feelings/testimony of Joseph Smith.

I know that Joseph Smith is and was a true prophet called by God. Joseph Smith is such an example to me, and also his wife Emma. They both suffered so much for this gospel. Joseph truly did pray in a grove to know which church to join, and was answered by the Father and the Son. He also translated the Book of Mormon so that the words of past prophets can be brought forth to those who are willing to accept and act upon the words contained in this marvelous book.

Although Joseph suffered many things such as tar and feathering, losing children, being mocked, and chased out of many towns and states. He was also falsely accused many times, and it eventually got to the point that his life was taken at Carthage Jail on June 27, 1844. Joseph stayed true to his God, and this gives me the knowledge and strength to know that I can live this gospel and know that I won't have to face anything near what he did.

I have gained such a testimony of this Prophet from a play we did in our ward in memorial of his birthday, and I learned so much about him, and his love for this wonderful gospel and our loving Heavenly Father. He also is an example to me because of the love he had for his wife; the consideration and adoration is so admirable for anyone. He truly loved his wife Emma, and losing so many children she still stood by his side and he gave her the strength she needed to keep going.

I love Joseph Smith, and all the prophets which lived before him and after him to this day, they are truly called to serve today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by daily scripture study, and sincere prayer. I also love writing in my journal so those who follow me can know my love for my family, and our savior Jesus Christ. I recently got the calling to teach in the hour class for women ages 18+ I know that this will be challenging as I am only 20 and unmarried unlike others in the group. I love my faith and all that this gospel stands for.
