About Me
I am just a person trying to be a good wife, mom, neighbor. I like people and making personal connections. I am a recreational therapist. I worked with people who have substance abuse problems, but became a full time homemaker when my kids came along. I like sports like tennis, golf, volleyball. My husband is a podiatrist (yes, we were in school a long time). We have 4 kids, a 15 year old boy, 13 year old girl and twin boy and girl who are 11.
Why I am a Mormon
It feels right. I'm happy and growing with what I'm learning in church and in the scriptures. The scriptures tell us that we can know a principle or teaching is true by the fruits,or its positive outcome. Besides, I feel there is a God in Heaven and that He wants us to know about Him and His ways. When I have asked God in prayer if this is His church and if the Book of Mormon is His word, I have felt warm and peaceful. Even during hard times I can't deny specific experiences feeling that this is God's church on the earth. And that is why I am a Mormon.
How I live my faith
I love church! Attending Sunday services are just a part of how I live my faith. Last night we attended a ladies group where we learned how to make bread and homemade freezer jam. Yum! Besides learning something that will be fun and benefit my family, I enjoyed visiting with my friends.
