I am a wife, mother, teacher and most importantly a daughter of God. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the mother of a beautiful little girl and the wife of an amazing man. I teach 8th grade U.S. History and on Sundays I serve at church as Nursery leader. Between the little ones at church, the crazy kiddos at school and my family; my life is pretty interesting. In my free time (I think I still know what that means) I love to CREATE!!! I love sewing, crafting, decorating, cooking, reading, and most importantly hanging out and playing games with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that I am a daughter of God who is part of His eternal plan of happiness. I know that I have a mission here on this Earth. I am so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the joy it brings to my life each and every day. I know that my Savior lives and loves each and every one of us.

What is hope and what do you hope for?

Hope is an amazing gift when applied in our lives. I have learned that when I have faith in my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ I am filled with hope. My husband and I have struggled with infertility for several years. We have had numerous setbacks and even more miracles. It is through hope and faith that I know that my Heavenly Father knows me and listens to my prayers. We have truly been blessed with beautiful daughter and pray that someday we will be able to welcome more beautiful children into our home.

How I live my faith

Our church is unique because each and every member is given opportunities to serve. Rich blessings come because of this service. Currently, I am blessed to serve as the Nursery Leader and a Visiting Teacher. Each opportunity I have to serve allows me to grow spiritually and strengthen not only my testimony, but others. Being able to serve others is one of the most uplifting things I can to do better myself.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

I firmly believe that husbands and wives have very distinct roles. By nature men and women are different. Heavenly Father created us this way to compliment and balance each other out. The world today would have us believe that men and women must be equal. If you look at the true meaning of equal, this phrase is impossible. I will never be a man. I am a woman with traits and characteristics only a wife and mother can have. I am so thankful to be a woman to be the nurturer and teacher in my home. I am so thankful for my husbands willingness to preside and lead our family.

Husband and wife in a marriage are meant to be equal, partners. The husband is the head of the household and is responsible for the temporal welfare of his family. His role is to support his wife. The wife is also to support her husband and to nurture her family both spiritually and emotionally. Husband and wife are meant to work side by side in providing a safe haven from the world for their family. Their roles are different, but equally important and essential to building the family and the community.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

We want everyone to be able to enter the Temple and feel of the sweet and beautifully peaceful aroma and spirit there. A Temple is a holy and sacred place. Unlike regular church buildings which are also sacred, Temples are specially reserved as places to be separate from worldly influences. Therefore, only those who are living such a life may enter, so as to preserve the Temple's sacredness. But we want everyone to qualify so that they may enter and feel of that spirit. It isn't hard to qualify, but it does take some effort. All that is required is for one to live a Christlike life with a heart that only desires to do good.
