About Me

I grew up in the great state of Washington and am currently going to school in Utah. I love almost any kind of sport and exercise. I love my family and am grateful for everything they do for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the faith and have been raised in it my whole life. My parents always did their best to teach me good values and the doctrines of the church. I have always felt a connection with the church but I still had to come to know for myself that it was true. In high school I went through a time where I really had questions that I needed answers too. I spent a lot of time reading from the Book of Mormon and praying to know if it truly was the true church on the earth. I received an answer of peace and comfort confirming to me what I had been doing all my life was right. I know that anyone who desires to know for themselves can also come to that knowledge independent of anyone else.

Please share your feelings/testimony of Joseph Smith.

The story of Joseph Smith is something that is truly amazing. Since I was raised in the church the idea of God appearing to a young boy never seemed all to foreign to me. As I got older I had questions and needed to find out for myself. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know the truth. Because of that I was able to receive a testimony of Joseph Smith and his divine calling as a prophet of God. The life he lived shows his dedication and committment to fulfilling the calling he was chosen to fulfill.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the values I have been taught since I was a child. I have received my own testimony which motivates me to be the best I can. Having the opportunity to serve a mission has been a way for my not only to help others learn about the true gospel but it has also helped me a ton.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Missionaries proselyte to share the good news of the gospel. The Lord wants all to know that the gospel has been restored in its entirety and proselyting is one way of doing that. This is a missionary church and truth is something that is open to everyone.

Our decision to serve missions is motivated by our belief in the Gospel and our desire to fulfill the Savior's command to "preach the gospel to every creature" Mark 16:15. The Gospel teaches us that we are all sons and daughters of God, and so we feel a kinship with all of God's children and a desire to help them enjoy the peace in this life that the Gospel provides.Our missionaries are not salesman and won't take much of your time, but I know that your decision to invite them into your home will change your life for good!

What is being a Mormon like?

Many people think that being a Mormon is very strict and holds people back from experiencing all that life has to offer. However, I know that it is the exact opposite. In The Book of Mormon, an ancient governor named Pahoran tells us that the spirit of God is the spirit of freedom. I know this principle to be true. The things of the world bind us with feelings of guilt, sorrow, envy, hatred, doubt, judgment, chaos, and confusion. The things of God bring peace, contentment, happiness, joy, satisfaction, clarity, and love. Through family relationships, The Book of Mormon, communication with a loving Father in Heaven, repentance, baptism, church attendance, and making sacred promises in God's holy temple, I have experienced these feelings of freedom. Being a Mormon is not just something I do, it is who I am! Mormonism is not just a belief, it is a lifestyle. This lifestyle has provided me with clarity, purpose, value, and direction. I will forever proclaim the truthfulness of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! It is Christ's true church upon the earth. It is the pathway to true joy in this life and the life to come!
