We are Mormons. My wife is a recent convert and we were Sealed in the Seattle Wa.Temple back in Dec of 2010.

About Me

I am happly married with two daughters. I have reacently returned to the church after being gon for a long time, I was welcomed back with open arms. my wife is a recent convert to the church, I am amazed at the strength of her testimony.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had friends from many religions, I have spoken at leingth about there beliefs and my own. I just feel that the LDS church is the Church of Christ and the one the lord wants his children to follow.

I do know this is the true church of Christ, I do know that if a person will kneel and ask the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ if this church is the true church that person will receve and answer and that will be yes. I can say that becuse it is true and I have done it.

How can your talents and gifts bless others?

You will be very supprised how you will fit in to the ward you live in, you dont think you will but some how when you try people open there hearts and welcome you. I was one that thought I had nothing to offer but now I cant believe I have so many talents the were of value. You will see when you give it a try and ask Hevenly Father for help.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by consantly trying to keep in mind, "what would Christ want me to do" when I ask myself that question it always makes my desision much easier. I try to modle my day after one of my favorite Scriptures, Alma 37:37 in part it reads "Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings and he will direct thee for good..."

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

It is used to pay the Church's bills. From building new Templs and meeting houses to the electric bill for the building the church owns. No mony is ever payed to the leaders, we are a service orented church, we fulfill our callings to the best of our abilitys and with the Lords help. We are never payed.

Tithing is paid in faith. I know these funds will not be misused. I pay tithing because it is a commandment, and because I love God and want to give Him back a small porion of what He has given me, to futher build up His church. These funds go to build and maintain church buildings and temples and other like expenses. Our clergy is not paid. There is no collection plate. We simply pay our tithing, our fast offerings, we share what we have gladly. This is God's way. For this is God's church.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

No. Our leaders have always operated from the concept that if we teach one another correct principles, we will then make correct choices and govern ourselves. The Church encourages each person to carefully consider every issue and each candidate and to prayfully seek guidance and then to vote responsibily. We are encouraged to be involved with our communities and nation but the Church does not take political positions or endorse parties or individuals.
