Reid: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Reid

I am a husband and a ping pong player. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a Mormon all my life. My parents taught me while I was young the truths about Jesus Christ from the Bible, Book of Mormon, and from the words of the living prophets. While a teenager I decided to find out for myself whether or not what was taught was truth--or just good sense. That's when I gained my own testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and have worked hard to live like He lived. It hasn't been easy, nor has it been a smooth ride, but I pick myself up when I stumble and thank God for sending His Son--allowing me to repent and be forgiven of my sins.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because after reading and pondering the Book of Mormon I prayed and asked God whether or not the Book of Mormon was true. I am a Mormon because God answers prayer.

Personal Stories

Why do Mormons go on missions?

I went on a mission because I felt that the church had given me so much--and it was the least I could do. I also went on a mission because I absolutely loved the church and what it taught.

Could you talk about your baptism?

I was 8 when I was baptized. I remember speaking to my bishop and he asked me why I wanted to be baptized, and at that time I felt that it was the right thing to do because I trusted my parents. Now I know it was right, and am grateful for that decision. My 12 year old sister spoke at my baptism, as did my mother. I was also given the gift of the Holy Ghost that same day, and I remember feeling great and confirmation that what I was doing was right.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by working in the church. I have been asked to fill a variety of assignments over the years and I live my faith by fulfilling those assignments as best I can. I live my faith through service (community and church) and through living righteously.
