About Me

I am the mother of three adult children who I love and admire immensely. I have 10 grandchillren who are special in every sense and joy to my life. I love to travel and am currently the owner of a mental health agency. Helping the hopeless and the downtrodden is my passion and to be an encouragement to others. I love life and all it brings.

Why I am a Mormon

Looking for love in all the wrong places and trying to find out who I am was the motivator to seek hope in various religions, people and things. The missionaries were very instrumental in teaching me who I am, where I came from and where I am going. I am so evcited to have found the truth. When you walk around confused inside, pretending to be happy outside it gets old. I found happiness in the gospe! My lifelong questions have finally been answered. For this I am eternally grateful.

What are you doing to help strengthen your family and make it successful?

I am enjoying my family. For a long time I didn't realize how important family is. It was about me... self centered in every sense of the word but I know they are my treasure! I respect their time and their space and when they need encouragement I love to help them. Family is so important! It is exciting seeing a part of me in each of them. WOW!

How I live my faith

I have been a teacher of the gospel four years and enjoy every sunday the opportunity to share the good news. The scriptures bring a peace you can't find anywhere.

President Thomas S. Monson is our current prophet. He is called of God to receive revelation for us today. I am grateful for living prophets and apostles to lead and guide us in this troubled world. I know that they are called of God, and if we follow their counsel we will be happy.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Mormon women are exactly like non-Mormon women in many ways. Some of us are stay-at-home mothers, while other Mormon women work outside the home. Regardless of our circumstances or choices in terms of employment, we try to work with our husbands and families as a team to get things taken care of within our homes.

My husband is my partner and my best friend and vice versa for him. He doesn't "rule over me" any more than I would do the same to him. We are equal partners in our eternal marriage. The church teaches us to be kind to our families as well as our friends and we want to make our homes a kind of spiritual refuge for everybody.
