David: economics, economist, father, travel, Mormon.

Hi, I'm David

I'm an economist. I'm a father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy reading. My wife and I enjoy reading literature that our children can read and learn from. I also enjoy traveling and seeing various parts of the United States and the World. One of my goals is to visit all 50 states during my life. I am well over half-way there.

Why I am a Mormon

"Why don't other churches have prophets like they do in the Bible?" I grew up in a Mormon family, however this question struckly me deeply when I was a child. It puzzled me why other churches didn't have prophets who communicated directly with God. This realization was one of many that helped me see how the Gospel of Jesus Christ had been restored with prophets like Moses and Noah. I continue to believe in Jesus Christ and the restored gospel because it has blessed my life and brought peace and joy even when times are hard. The fruits of this religion are good and I have seen nothing but goodness from living the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

Personal Stories

Which of the Savior’s teachings have influenced you?

I love the teachings of the Savior that all people are children of god. My wife regularly works with children and adults with physical and mental disabilities. I have had the opportunity to help her. I have learned so much about the love the Savior has for those who are not completely whole physically or mentally. These wonderful individuals are so loving and kind and enjoyable to be around.

How I live my faith

I enjoy interacting with the youth of my church. I have helped organize activities for the youth so they will have fun and have a spiritual experience to come closer to Jesus Christ. It is very fulfilling to see them realize the joy and peace that comes from following Christ.
