Hi, I'm Cindy
I was born in Texas. I love sushi. I love to dance. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I live in South Florida with my husband and our little zoo of three dogs, one cat, one lizard and two small parrots. I am the director of human resources for a small software company. I love tech gadgets, digital scrapbooking and photography.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a Mormon because I believe that we have a Prophet on the earth today who leads and directs the church. I believe both The Book of Mormon and The Bible to believe the word of God. I believe that Christ lives, that He loves us and that he made it possible for us to return to live with Him someday. And I am grateful for a Church that teaches that marriages don't end when we die.
Personal Stories
Could you talk about your baptism?
I joined the Church when I was 19. I was not unhappy as a Southern Baptist. But a friend invited me to attend church with him, so I decided to go. The next day, two senior missionaries (husband and wife) showed up at my door and I agreed to let them come back. As I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if the Church was true, I received an answer to my prayers and I was baptized. I remember being excited and nervous that day. And was glad to have my friends and my Mom (who is not a member) join me on that day.
How I live my faith
I live my faith be teaching the little children at church. This year, I am going to work with the five year olds and I am so excited. I love the excitement on their faces and their innocence.
I also live my faith by visiting other women in the ward and making sure they are okay and sharing Christ's teachings with them on a monthly basis.
