I grew up all over. I'm a wife, mother, teacher and wanna-be Latina and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to collect quotes and enjoy spending time with my family, I am a wife to a 100% Mexican and we have a beautiful daughter who brings us so much joy! I have a love for the Spanish language and all the different cultures that are associated with speaking Spanish. I am a college graduate and now teach English and Spanish.

Why I am a Mormon

I would not be who I am today if it weren't for the MANY faith promoting experiences I have been blessed to have in my life. Through prayer, scripture study, and actively participating in Church meetings and activities I have gained a knowledge that affects what I do on a daily basis. I know that the gospel has been restored and is meant to bring us TRUE happiness and peace in this life and teach us how to return to our Father in Heaven. The gospel of Jesus Christ means that there is hope for me and those I love and those I don't even know.

Personal Stories

How has the Holy Ghost helped you?

I am so grateful for the Holy Ghost. I have always wanted to live my life in a way in order to be inluenced by the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost has many roles, but among those roles, one that has really helped me has been as the comforter. I remember struggling with some trials in my life at a particular time and feeling pretty alone. As I knelt down and began to plead to my Father in Heaven for comfort, in came through the Holy Ghost. I felt wrapped in a blanket of love and an overwhelming peace rushed over me.

How I live my faith

I actively participate in Church weekly and love the different responsibilities I've been given. One of the most memorable and fulfilling experiences I have participated in as a way to live my faith was by serving a mission. I learned Spanish and got to live among people from all over the world.

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

After a struggle with cancer, my father passed away. Because of what we learn in the Book of Mormon, we know that after someone dies they go home to that God that gave them life and stay in a state of peace and rest until they are resurrected, if we follow what the Lord has told us to do.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Perhaps one of the greatest blessings I have received by being a Mormon is a concrete understanding of the purpose of life. We believe that every human being is a literal child of Heavenly Father. We lived with Him in Heaven before we were born on earth. Our purpose in life is to keep His commandments, so that we can be worthy to return to live with our Father in Heaven again after we die. We cannot be worthy without allowing the Atonement of Jesus Christ, the Savior, to cleanse us of sin.
