About Me
Hi, my name is Corey Jones. I am twenty three years young. I love to play basketball and I'll admit that I am probably borderline obsessed with hoops. I also love to pick up a good book. I have a lot of interests, music is towards the top, it's gotta have a beat. Other than that I'm taking things one day at a time.
Why I am a Mormon
I'm Mormon for a lot of reasons. I did not join the church until later in life, when I was twelve. I had the opportunity to listen and learn from the LDS missionaries and feel their testimonies of restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. More than anything though I have a love for the Book of Mormon. I know it's true, the book has changed my life. I've prayed about it, it compliments the Bible so well. I love it and I've seen the book change others lives besides mine. Truly peace can be found in this, His church.
Personal Stories
How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?
The Book of Mormon was truly a starting point for me for something greater. The book itself softened my heart as I read it and tried to apply the precepts taught in it. I could also feel the power and influence of the Holy Ghost as I read the pages, they sunk deep into my heart. My own testimony hinges on the truthfulness of the book. It's true, and I know anybody can know by prayer and reading the book.
How I live my faith
I live my Faith by the way I treat others, especially my family. I also live it by not lowering my own standards to please others; at the same time, I do my best not to be judge mental of others and that is always a work in progress. In the church I participate by going weekly and rendering service where I'm called upon. I also recently returned from an mission, two years of service and sharing the Gospel away from home.
