I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and am a full time Mom and Grandma. I love it!

About Me

I've been married for 31yrs to the most wonderful man I know! We have been blessed with four beautiful children, 2 girls and 2 boys and 5 grand children two of which are twins. We have 2 son in laws and 1 daughter in law which we absolutely love as our own. Our youngest child is serving a mission in Chile. I've been blessed to be able to be a full time mother all these years without having to work outside our home. I love to make scrapbooks and have made one for every year for each of our children until they have graduated from High School. I love to visit with family and friends. I cherish all my relationships. They are most important in my life. I love to shop and be outdoors in the water. I love to jet ski, ride quads & watch all my children in their activities. I just love life, my family, friends and our Savior.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who were already members of this church. I was taught about the Gospel and baptized a member at age eight. When I was really young my parents took me to the Mesa Temple visitor center where I watched the movie of Joseph Smith and his experience in the sacred grove. While watching the movie I knew in my heart and mind it was true. There was no doubt. I was blessed at an early age to have this conviction. I'm so grateful for the knowledge of knowing that Christ church has been restored to the earth again and the he loves us so much to provide us with such blessings. The book of Mormon is a priceless gift of another testament of Jesus Christ. It testifies the plan our Father in Heaven has for each of us. I've been blessed with a testimony of this divine truth.

Why/How do you share the gospel with your friends?

The best way to share the Gospel I believe is through my example. I want to share the Gospel with as many as Gods children as I can for he loves each and everyone of us.

Why do Mormons do family history or genealogy work?

To help our Savior with his mission which is to- Redeem the dead, Proclaim the Gospel and Perfect the Saints.

How I live my faith

I try to live each day to the fullest in keeping the commandments of God as I've learned and know them. I try to always be aware of those who need service of any kind. I've learned to pray everyday and night. This always helps me live my faith to the fullest & reach my potential. I read the scriptures everyday which keeps me learning and growing. I go to church every week to partake of the sacrament and renew my baptism convenants. I try to learn from our Saviors example in how to love him and others. I try hard to stay close to him and make the choices he would want me to make. I love him. I want to be like him in every way possible. He is the most loving. I love being a member of this church. It makes me the happiest. I love currently serving as compassionate service leader in my church. I get to help those who are in want or need of any help. In the past I have had the opportunity working with the youth which I loved!! I love sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others.

How does the Church finance its operations?

We are asked to give freely 10% of all our earnings to the building up of Gods Kingdom. We also have the opportunity to contribute other funds in different areas needed. This isn't something we are forced to do but do it willingly. It's not something we made up but has been taught to us by our Savior Jesus Christ. We are so fortunate to be able to contribute to the church. It's been a great blessing in our lives.

The Church finances its operations primarily through voluntary donations from its members, generally referred to as Tithing. The Lord commanded his people in the Old Testament to bring their tithes to his servants. Many Church members today voluntarily donate a portion of their income help the Church bless the lives of millions of individuals through providing meetinghouses for worship, schools for education, supplies for humanitarian aid, food and housing assistance to the poor, etc. In addition, the Church owns and operates taxable for-profit business enterprises that generate income to help fund Church initiatives. The Church invests a portion of its gross receipts to maintain a financial reserve, and income from these investments provide an additional source of funds.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

The word "testimony" is used frequently by members of The Church. When they use this, what they mean is they have knowledge that a certain principle or doctrine is true because they have studied it, and received a witness of it from the Holy Ghost. For example, to gain a 'testimony' of the Book of Mormon, you read it, study it, and ask Heavenly Father if it is true. He will typically respond with a feeling of peace or happiness. This feeling is the witness from the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon is true. Once you receive this witness, you have built a testimony of the Book Of Mormon. This process can be applied to any aspect of The Church, or your life.
