Landon William K.: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Landon William K.

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I LOVE IT!

About Me

Well let's see where to begin,

I was born and raised as a member of the church in Utah I had a really cool childhood with some amazing friends we did all sorts of things together I really enjoy Taekwondo, Airsoft, swimming/boating, and video production I want to own a video studio someday and possibly do some work for the church in their video department at one point or another. I love having a good time and I take the saying: "Dance like nobodies watching" seriously.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church and I have been taught about it my whole life from my parents and those in my ward but I didnt truly start applying the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ until I was about 18 and as I started doing that I began to realize where I really was in life and how little I had, but now that I have the Gospel I know who I am where I came from and where I am going in life.

Personal Stories

How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?

Although I was born into the Church I didnt read the Scriptures a whole lot I had always felt that it was important but since I didnt do it I couldnt tell you that I knew that it was important, the first time that it became important to me was when Gordon B. Hinkley a Prophet of the Lord challenged the church to read the Book Of Mormon by the end of the year, I didnt start taking that challenge until about half way through the year, the minute I picked that Book up and started reading I immediatly noticed changes in my life, one of the goals that I had talked about with my dad for that year was coming home and doing my homework immediatly when I got home, I hadnt done it at all I kept telling myself that I would but never did, when I started to read the Book Of Mormon every night I was able to acheive that goal with ease, and as a result I can honestly say I had more time to play I had less stress that came from school and my grades went up, it was an amazing thing and I know it was because I heeded the words of a Prophet of God and I read the Book of Mormon, there is power in this book to all those who read it. I know that to be TRUE!

Why do Mormons go on missions?

Being a Missionary right now I can tell you that we do it because we know it's what he have covenanted with Christ to do, We serve missions because the Gospel is not something that is given to only certain individuals it is something for the world as it says in John 3:16- "For God so loved the WORLD that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life."
Knowledge of Jesus Christ is something that we have and when we are baptized we covenant to be a witness of Christ and that covenant is a promise that we uphold when we serve missions, it also prepares us to continue to uphold that covenant when our service is over and we go throughout the rest of our lives.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission in the Missouri Independence Mission and I am spreading the Gospel to as many people as I possibly can.
