Murray Ceff: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Murray Ceff

I work with disadvantaged youth and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I manage a small surfboard businesses as well as working with kids who are homeless. I also work part-time for a physical therapy supply company. The kids I work with don't have the advantage in life of having parents that love and support them so their behaviours can be quite challenging at times. I have a family of my own, a gorgeous wife and two beautiful daughters. I live in Australia.

Why I am a Mormon

This is a bit of a tricky question. How do I say that I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord's true Church without offending anyone? It's not easy, but nonetheless, that is the reason I joined this Church as a twenty-four year old. Would not have been baptized and confirmed by the Elders if I didn't know they had the authority to do so. That was very important to me.

Personal Stories

Why do Mormons go on missions?

I went on a mission about 18 months after I became a member of the Church, so that I could give to other people the same great opportunities that I realized I had access to as a member of the Church. It was also part of my priesthood responsibilities to proclaim the Gospel and I felt a great sense of duty to do that.

How I live my faith

I try to live up to the standards of the Gospel. That's not always easy, living in a country where LDS are a very small minority. I also work in businesses where very few other Christians work, so I really "stand out", hopefully in a positive way.
In my local Church ward, I run the youth program for boys. I enjoy taking them surfing, rock climbing and other fun activities, as well as helping them to live their faith.
