About Me

I am a stay at home mom of 2 beautiful children, and one on the way. I am married to a wonderful husband, whom i met finishing college. I graduated in Art. I suffer from migraines sometimes daily, but i don't let it stop me from enjoying my family! Life is good! I choose to enjoy everyday!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church. I come from a long line of Mormon's, many of which crossed the plains with the original pioneers. And even though my own father no longer follows the gospel, I have chosen to continue in the teachings of Jesus Christ in my home. There is no other church out there that is as organized and inspiring in its programs from childhood to adulthood out there. It holds such high values. It answers all may questions. Who I am, why I'm here, and where am i going. I am a daughter of God, I want to live my life in such a way as to return to my Heavenly Father one day and say "I did it, I passed the test." It is such a comfort to my life and to my children's life to know what the plan is. I have lived my life in such a way that I can be happy with what i am and what i have accomplished. There is so much more for me to do, and i intend to do it. I am not perfect, but i still have the chance to be. I know this church is the only fully true church here on the the Earth today. That we have a wonderful prophet who guides us through inspiration on how to be. I know that our Savior Jesus Christ died for each of us to give us the opportunity to choose to return to Our Father in Heaven God one day. I Know Jesus Christ lived! And that he now lives again! That He arose that 3rd day through the power of God. I know this Earth has a plan, and is not just a random happening, that we came here to prove ourselves worthy for the next stage in our development in Heaven. I am so grateful for Joseph Smith having the courage to say a prayer and ask the right question and then fulfilling his destiny. I am grateful for Family! For the role we all play in influencing others in this life. I am deeply humbled that God our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ knows and loves me individually! And I say these things in His holy name of Jesus Christ Amen.

How I live my faith

I take community classes with my kids for fun. I currently teach the primary children ages 6-7 every other Sunday in church.

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

Because we believe the Book of Mormon to be another holy book that accompanies the Bible in righteous teachings. And because we are the only other church with that additional Book and it being titled the Book of Mormon, people have refereed to us as Mormons. Because of our belief in that book. And lets face it, it is much more shorter name than saying "Hi, I belong to the church if Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. Hi, I'm a Mormon." See what i mean! "I'm a Mormon and I believe in the Book of Mormon and in the Holy Bible Because they both teach of Jesus Christ!"

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Women have a divine role, as designed by Heavenly Father before we came to earth. We were given the sacred opportunity to be mothers and to work alongside the brethren of the church to serve, uplift, and strengthen others. Women are powerful and strong forces for good in the world. We must be careful, however. The world today often tries to demean the divine role of womanhood by over-sexualizing women or saying that they should be the same as men. Women and men are different for divine purposes. I don't want to be a man. I know that Heavenly Father sent me here to be who I am because I can contribute to this great work in a way that no one else can. I'm grateful to be a woman today.
