I'm a Pharmacist, a father of seven and husband to a wonderful woman.

About Me

My wife and I have 7 children (4girls and 3 boys). We are both pharmacists and own 3 independent pharmacies. My wife homeschools 4 of our children at this point. Our daughters are very active in ballet. Our oldest son in active in Scouts and our middle boy loves lego's and Star Wars.

Why I am a Mormon

When we were married we were looking for a church. After many attempts we decided to listen to 2 sister missionaries. We were told that if we would live the word of wisdom and get baptized we would be belessed with a child. We now have 6 children and 1 on the way. Each day I can see the blessings the Lord has given us for our decision to follow his gospel.

How I live my faith

As a Bishop I am a little stretched for time but the Lord blesses me and my family with the time we need to spend together and grow clsoer to Him and each other.

How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

If everyone were modest then chastity would be much easier. Styles that are too revealing allow people to "see" a lot more of a person and thus becomes a greater temptation to break the law of chastity.

Chastity is reserving physical intimacy for after marriage. This sexual intimacy is such a beautiful and powerful display of love that it is to be reserved for that special time. When we do this we are showing the respect and love we have for ourselves and our bodies, as the gift from God that they are. Through our dress, language and behavior we also show our self worth and respect for who we are. The neat thing about being modest is the strong self confidence that is exhibited by your outward appearance. There is a power that comes from knowing that we are children of a loving Heavenly Father. As parents teach their children that simple truth, that self confidence will develop and as the desire to be modest in dress, language and behavior will come naturally. I know that this was the case in my life and am super grateful for the teachings of my parents and the high self confidence it cultivated in knowing of my individual worth as a daughter of God.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

We don't worship Joseph Smith. Although we recognize that our faith hinges on whether or not he was a prophet of God, we only worship God, the Father and his Son, Jesus Christ. We honor and respect Joseph Smith in the same way we do Moses, Abraham, or any of the ancient prophets.
