Daniel: Mormon.

Hi, I'm Daniel

I'm a writer. I'm a manager. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm in my mid-twenties, married with a young daughter and another something on the way. I spend whatever little spare time I can writing short stories and articles, while theoretically working on a novel. I work in a call centre as a manager where, I hope, I make a difference in people's lives even on a small scale.

Why I am a Mormon

I came first came to church as a way to spend more time with my now wife. But as I spent more and more time listening to the teachings of the church and discussing doctrine I found myself sending more time not only wife my wife but also with my God.
I joined the church because it just made sense to me and because, kneeling in prayer, I received a testimony of the truthfulness of what I had been taught

Personal Stories

Why do Mormons do family history or genealogy work?

Latter-day Saints believe that this life is only a small part of existence that extends from before birth and into the eternities. As part of this, we believe that the family is the primary form of organisation and continues on past death.
Doing genealogical work allows us to find our family and - through temple work - to be sealed together with our family beyond this life.

How I live my faith

I act as a secretary in one of the local priesthood groups and run family history classes for my local church community.
