Hi, I'm Stephanie
I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I am Stephanie and I am a health care aid. I am planning on going back to college in the near future. My hobbies are music, writing and art. I have ADHD--basically meaning sometimes I have a hard time paying attention. which never makes life dull.
Why I am a Mormon
The reason why I am a member is not to do with my family so much. I mean, yes I was born "Mormon". The real reason I am here is because it makes me happy. To know what Jesus Christ has done for me. To know that through him I can be made clean. To know that there is a Father in Heaven who loves me. It makes me happy to know I am not here because of some accident.
I love this church and all it stands for. I love knowing I am the daughter of a great king who created the beauty of this world. I love how this church believes in family, to spend time together and become happier.
Personal Stories
How can your talents and gifts bless others?
Sometimes it is hard to think about sharing your talents. I mean, what does art have to do with blessing other people or music. Well, since becoming an adult I have learned what a joy it can be. When I sing to seniors in a nursing home, I can see a smile on their faces. They turn into young people again.
When I have used my art in a class I am teaching for church, people become more focused. I really enjoy these things. I love to spread happiness in the world. Even if I am one person I know I am making a difference.
How I live my faith
Currently I teach sunday school which is the second portion of our sunday meetings. I teach young adults. I also do something called visiting teaching which is where we teach women a special message once a month and visit with them. I really enjoy this part of my church.
I do basic services for people like help them with their english or cook them meals. I try to be helpful.
