Why I am a Mormon

I've become member of this church because I know that the teachings here are in harmony with the Savior's will and will make you feel closer to our Heavenly Father.

Personal Stories

Can you think of a specific challenge in your family that Gospel Principles helped overcome?

We in our families have a financial instability. By following the principle of Tithing we (even though we are not rich) have enough money to pay for our school fees, daily needs and transportation.

How I live my faith

We started going to some areas giving service projects like cleaning side walks and other stuff like ordinary people does.

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

We are called mormons because of a book that we are using, The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. It contains the fullness of the gospel that will you and the lives of others if they would follow the teachings which could be found in this book.

What is being a Mormon like?

The shortest answer that I could give is that it's AWESOME.
But really, it's great! The standards of the Church help me live and love a more clean life, and help me enjoy what I do every day.
Sometimes it's hard, but I try to think about WHY I do it all. It's like working out- I don't always enjoy it, but I keep thinking about the finish line and why I'm working out.
Like Captain Moroni wrote on the ensign banner he called the "Title of Liberty" to rally the country to understand why they were doing what they were:
"In memory of our God, our religion, and freedom, and our peace, our wives, and our children."
Being a Mormon makes me love life more. And I sure live a lot of it!
