Hi, I'm Mike
I'm a husband, a father, an OIF/OEF Veteran, and I'm a Mormon.
About Me
My wife and I have three wonderful daughters. I say we are in the Army because what I do for a living effects all of us on a daily basis. Prior to the Army I was a school teacher and soccer coach.
I have deployed three times in support of our nation in Iraq and Afghanistan. From May 2003 to March 2009 I was in one of those two countries for almost 39 months.
Without a strong personal testimony and belief in our Savior, Jesus Christ and the power of His sacrifice for us none of this would be possible.
I am grateful to be in our nation's Army and in the service of our Father in heaven as well.
Why I am a Mormon
I love my family and I want, what most of us want, to be with them forever.
The teachings of Jesus Christ are eternal truths that the world would be better off hearing in this day and age.
I am proud of who I am and what I am able to accomplish in His plan for us here on the Earth.
Personal Stories
What has helped develop greater harmony in your home?
Reading the Scriptures together every evening as a family has created a climate of understanding and love within our home.
Family prayer in the mornings before school and work, at meals, and at bed time is another thing that has helped.
How I live my faith
Reading from the Bible and the Book of Mormon every day is what helps me feel calm and collected throughout the day.
Sacrament, my church meetings, and my callings are all important to me as well.
Serving others and doing family history work makes me feel connected to the Spirit where ever I am located.
