About Me

I am a husband, father and grandfather. Professionally I am a film and television executive. I work with some of the most creative producers, writers and directors in the world. Over my career we have produced many commercials, exhibits and films designed to strengthen families and explain who Jesus Christ is and how to find peace and happiness through Him.

I love helping others learn about Jesus Christ and His restored gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I had to find out for myself that it is God's church. I followed the scripture's instruction to pray, sincerely, with real intent, having faith in Jesus Christ. There came into my heart a knowledge, a powerful, comforting impression, that Jesus is the Christ and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His original Church, restored to the earth in these days. This has been reconfirmed many times in my life.

I have learned about God's priesthood which is the authority that He gives to men to represent Him and perform saving ordinances such as baptism. This priesthood authority is also used to heal the sick and provide blessings to those in need.

I received this priesthood by the laying on of hands by one who had previously received it in the same manner. I can trace that line of priesthood authority back to Jesus Christ when he gave it to his original apostles Peter, James and John. I am a follower of Jesus Christ.

How can we develop greater harmony in our homes?

Pray. Read the scriptures. Love each other. Serve each other. Be kind, patient and loving. Teach by precept and example and give children the opportunity to choose right and wrong. Support them. Talk to them. Listen to them. Play with them.

Why/How do you share the gospel with your friends?

I believe the best way of sharing is to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. As others see my life, they ask me questions which I am pleased to answer, about how my faith in Jesus Christ has blessed my life.

How I live my faith

I pray to God daily. He is my Father in Heaven. He answers my prayers.

I read the scriptures daily and find great direction, comfort and instruction in them.

I teach my family about Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ so they can also find peace, joy and happiness.

I love working with young people and seeing their faith and determination to follow the Savior, Jesus Christ.

What do Mormons believe about family?

We believe that families are organized by God and that He is literally our Father in Heaven. We believe that no other success will compensate for failure in the home. We believe that Mothers and Fathers have a sacred and wonderful duty to teach their children right and wrong. This is best done by setting an example and by living the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Parenting is the most challenging, wonderful experience one earth. I have a wonderful wife, six children and 25 grandchildren. We all do our best to follow Jesus Christ.

The family is a key component to support us in God's plan for gaining immortality and eternal life. All of God's children (all the inhabitants that lived, are living, and will live on Earth) are inseperably connected to each other, both (physically) by our Earthly families and (spiritually) by our Heavenly Father.

Families help us to understand our divine heritage. In this, life takes on purpose and meaning. Our immortal spirits were created by our Heavenly Father before Earthly existance, and we are directly connected to Him in this way. As a spiritual family, our collective purpose on Earth is to follow the commandments of God that lead us to live in heaven with Him again.

Our spirits need to progress, learn, and grow. In order to achieve that, Earthly existance was created as our test. Our Heavenly Father knew that being exposed to opposing forces on Earth was the only way for us to gain knowledge and wisdom.

However, we will not always choose righteousness, and so our Savior, Jesus Christ, is that great mediator to pay the debt of our mistakes. He is the only way by which we can be saved from our sins and transgressions. He is the ultimate example by which direction we need to live our lives. With the support of our earthly kin, we can learn from each other, serve each other, and strengthen our mortal weaknesses by being disciples of Christ. Our families are a gift from God, and we can be together forever.

Just start out with a small prayer to God and just this one act will start you on a path that will bring you into a relationship with Him. Don't be afraid to ask for guidance from the missionaries this is the thing they live for.
