Hi, I'm Sarah Diane
I'm a US Army soldier. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I'm 26 years old and have been married to my love for 6 years. I adore my mom and dad, and my niece! I'm a medic in the Army. When I get out I want to be a physicians assistant. I enjoy music and I LOVE to sing. I also like crafts, such as scrapbooking and crochet. I love to ride my bike around town, and I love to read.
Why I am a Mormon
When asked how long he has been a member of the church, my grandpa used to say "since 1830" (when the church was officially organized). So I have a long family history. But there comes a time in your life when you have to decide for yourself what is true. I had to stop relying on the testimonies of my parents, teachers, and friends, and gain one for myself. I know that the gospel is true. The feeling I get when I'm at church or at the temple or studying to prepare for a lesson is such a good, pure feeling. The standards set by the Lord through the church have not limited me but have enriched my life and helped protect me from danger. I love being a member of this church.
Personal Stories
How can your talents and gifts bless others?
I enjoy singing, especially sacred music. I love to sing music that invites the Holy Ghost. I think that sharing my testimony through song helps strengthen the testimony of others. My best friend has a talent that I have benefited from. She is studying to be a counselor. She has a natural ability to help others work through hard times. She somehow knows the right thing to say at the right time, and was a huge help to me when I faced a terrible challenge. I consider myself a good friend, but I have a hard time finding the right words sometimes, and her talent always amazes me and is constantly blessing my life.
How I live my faith
I'm a youth leader. I love it so much! I work with all the young women, but specifically with the 14 and 15 year olds. They are so energetic, and their testimonies inspire me. During the 3rd hour of church I teach a lesson to them, and on Wednesdays we have a group activity. We sometimes have other activities, like dances and parties. We just finished girls camp. That was always my favorite part of young womens when I was a teen, and it remains so today as a leader.
