About Me

I'm from a family of 11 children. Our family is very close together because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm going to college as a Computer Information Technology and Business Major. I enjoy being with my family, cooking, helping others, working with computers and working hard.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised Mormon all of my life, but there comes a time in everyones life when they decide for themself what is right for them. For me I found my answer through prayer and reading the scriptures. When praying specifically ask for an answer. I asked specifically if the Book of Mormon is true, if there is a prophet today, if God loves me, personal questions. I recieved an answer, it wasn't a voice, someone verbally saying it, it was the feelings I had in my heart and the thoughts that came to me in my head. Feelings of comfort, love and peace. I know that this church is true and if you pray to God for an answer, he will respond to you. Try it.

Can you talk about the missions of the Church and your participation in them?

Yes, we can talk about our missions in the church and what we do on them. We would love to share what we do, if you are interested in learning.

Why do Mormons go on missions?

Mormons go on missions for many reasons, but the main reason is because it was and is the last great command that Jesus Christ gave. that is to "Feed my sheep" (John 21:16). We want to share the joy of his restored gospel here on the earth today! Our goalas missionaries is to bring people unto Christ, basically to help people find themselves and become better people. Also in the process of this great work we want to serve others as Christ did while he was on the earth.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm serving in Geneva, Switzerland as a missionary. Each day I strive to live what we teach. As a missionary, we do service for others as well as teach others about Christ. Before going on my mission I was a "home teacher," in our church home teachers are assigned to visit a few families of the church to make sure everything is well with them and their family also to help them if they need help. We have church events all the time to bring each other together and lift each other up! Life is great!

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Family is so important to Mormons because we believe that " Marriage between man and woman is essential to His eternal plan. Children are entitled to birth within the bonds of matrimony, and to be reared by a father and a mother who honor marital vows with complete fidelity. Happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved when founded upon the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ." We believe famlies can be together forever and it's important to build our relationships with them.

Because family is so important to God. Why do you think God intoduces Christ as His "only begotten SON in whom I am well pleased" and not something more formal like my servant, the Christ? Why in the scriptures is God referred to as "The Father" more than any other title? why is it that naturally we come into this life into a family, whether functional or not? Families are ordained of God. Agency and human nature is what may cause us to believe other wise.
Family ought to be our foundation of education in this life. I've moved around a lot. I've attended many different schools and one thing I've learned is that it is hard to focus on my goals if I don't have a social network providing acceptance and unity. A support group I can lean on and be there to be leaned on at school. It's a miracle that God has provided that support group for the important lessons in life.
If our families aren't what they could be, we can choose individually to be an example and a friend to them as far as possible. practice the principles of repentence and forgiveness. Understanding that our families are meant to be eternal helps us to not allow the small things to obstruct our relationships.

What is faith?

Faith is taking action because of a hope in something. Often the Savior asks of us to do certain things or live in certain ways. When we see a stranger in distress, we stop and help them as Jesus commanded us to in the Good Samaritan Luke 10:25. The act of helping is the evidence of our Faith in Christ. We are asked to tithe. Tithing is evidence of our faith. We tithe in hopes of the promises in Malachi 3:10 that the floodgates of Heaven are open to us.
Faith is when we put our beliefs and hope into action.
