My Wife and I have been married for 29 years. We have 3sons and 2 daughters and 2 grandchildren. I love Surfing, Mountain biking and playing with the Grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I learned about the Gospel of Jesus Christ line upon line, precept upon precept as a youth. and I'm still learning the Truths taught in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.

Why do Mormons go on missions?

Mormons serve missions to spread the "Plan of Happiness" to other of Gods children.

How has the Holy Ghost helped you?

The Holy Ghost has given me Inspiration on what to do from time to time through my life. These Inspirations have kept me on the right track in following the Savior. When I don't follow the Inspiration I find I'm not as happy and and I drift farther away from the Spirit.

Can you talk about the missions of the Church and your participation in them?

Because of answers to prayers I've studied the Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints. I became converted to the teachings and am trying to spread that to others. I've learned to give of myself to others (follow Jesus Christ) to become happy.

How has your knowledge of the Plan of Happiness changed/benefited your life?

I have greater meaning and purpose in my life. I understand this life isn't all there is. We are All Children of our Heavenly Father and He loves us.

How I live my faith

I love to teach the youth (or anyone) about Jesus Christ. I love to hear stories about Faith promoting experiences.

What is the difference between attending a Mormon Church and a Mormon Temple? What is the difference between attending church and the temple?

When we go to church we talk about and do things that have to do with Mortality and this life. When we go to the Temple we talk about and do things that have to do with Immortality and the next life. Show more Show less

We go to church weekly to worship and take the sacrament, which is like communion. Everyone, no matter their faith, is welcome to come to church services and learn more about the Gospel. The temple is a special place where members make further promises to Heavenly Father that they will keep his commandments. It is also where we are married, or sealed together, and where we can be baptized and sealed for our family members who have died before having those opportunities in life. To go to the temple you need a card called a temple reccomend from your church leaders that confirms that you are currently doing your best to follow Christ and His Gospel as a member of the Church. What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

Mormon church services are dignified and simple. A sacrament meeting will be conducted by a regular guy wearing a regular business suit. The organ will be played by a regular member of the congregation who is not paid for his or her service. The singing will be led by a regular member of the congretaion. The prayers will be given by regular folks. The sacrament will be blessed and passed by regular folks, usually teenage boys. The talks will be given by members of the congregation, often teenagers. Special music might be presented by regular folks, or the ward choir. Members of the ward choir are just regular members of the congregation who like to sing, and are not paid for their service. Looking around the congregation, you will most likely see some singles but also families including little children and babies. Babies tend to be fussy so the room will not be totally silent. We try to maintain reverence, but it's a learning process. The kids are not perfectly reverent, and neither are the rest of us. People are dressed in regular clothes, usually conservative and modest. Men and boys usually wear dress shirts and ties. Women and girls usually wear dresses or skirts. You are welcome to come and attend any of our worship services. You will not be asked to stand and sit, stand and sit, stand and sit. No one will pass a collection plate or ask you for money. You come in and sit and relax. And when you come, please sit by me!
