Hi, I'm Emily Ruth
I'm a mother, student midwife and a mormon.
About Me
Grateful wife and mother of 6. Four angels on earth & two in heaven. A student midwife, sometimes dancer, singer, actress, teacher. Equal parts desert rat and beach bum.
Why I am a Mormon
I grew up attending the Mormon church but found myself as a young college student wanting to learn more about other religions to see if there was something else out there for me. While I enjoyed and still do enjoy learning about other faiths, I realized that no other religion or doctrine could answer my questions the way the LDS church does. I became converted to the faith I had known my entire life.
Personal Stories
What blessings have come through your faith in Jesus Christ?
In October of 2008 I gave birth to twins prematurely. Sheldon and Thomas lived a short time and then passed on from this life. At first, of course, I did not understand how losing our babies could possibly bring me closer to my Lord Jesus Christ. However, my testimony of the peace and comfort that comes from living his gospel and having faith in his atonement has been the greatest blessing of my life. I now have a deeper knowledge of his love for me and that we will indeed be with our sons again.
How I live my faith
Over the years I have loved working with various groups in our church--- With the adult women, young women, and most recently the children. I learn so much from others and enjoy finding more ways to serve others.
I also love to share what I learn through blogging. I have "met" many people through the blogging world who teach me much about faith and I hope to share with others what blessings can come from living the gospel of Jesus Christ.
