Hi, I'm Aimee
I love laughter, hugs, and time spent with friends and family. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I am a licensed social worker and college graduate. A single woman. A daughter and a sister. An aunt to a handful of cuties.
I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my whole life. My parents are Mormon. My siblings are Mormon. I made the choice to be baptized when I was 8 years old. When I turned 21 years old I served a Mormon mission. It was my choice and I loved every minute of it. Those that I taught and served are my family too. I love them dearly. I am eternally grateful to be a part of their lives.
Why I am a Mormon
I choose to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know that the principles found therein are true. It is whole. It is complete. I have known it ever since I can remember. Despite the hardships and sadness in the world, the gospel teachings bring clarity and peace into my life. I cannot imagine my life without this knowledge.

How can your talents and gifts bless others?
To be honest, I spent a good portion of my life thinking I was untalented. I am not athletic, musically gifted, or artistic in any way. I wish that I were. I love all three of those areas. For many years I mistakenly thought talent was only found in one of those areas. As I have matured I have come to realize that I have a talent for listening to and discerning the needs of others. It is a talent that I became aware of as I pursued my professional goal of becoming a social worker. Now I use my talent on a daily basis to help children and families heal. My talent has also been helpful as I nurture relationships with my family and friends. My talent is a gift that has helped me excel in my field and I am daily grateful for this blessing.
How I live my faith
I currently teach a Primary class at church. Primary is for children ages 3-11. It is where they can learn church teachings and gospel truths at an age appropriate level. I have no formal training as a teacher. I try my best to teach what I know to be true. Thankfully there is a manual to guide me and leaders to support and instruct me should I need help.
The children I teach come into my class at 7 years old and turn 8 during the course of the year. Beginning at age 8 a child can make the choice to be baptized. Teaching this age bracket is a solemn duty. It is my responsibility to teach them about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. To help them understand baptism and the Holy Ghost. To instill in them a love for the scriptures. To share with them the importance of prayer. To encourage them to make right choices. To assist them in understanding who they are and their purpose on this earth. To help them prepare for their own baptism should they make that choice. I teach them what I know. I try daily to pattern my life, my choices, in accordance with these teachings.
